Ingredients:
1/4 cupCocoa
1/4 cupButter or shortening
1/4 cupApplesauce
2 tbspSweet*10 liquid
2 tbspVanilla
2 Eggs, beaten, or substitute
1 cupFlour
1/2 tspSalt
1 1/2 tspBaking soda
1/4 cupNuts, chopped
Procedures:
1Add vanilla, sweetener, eggs.
2Stir until well-blended and add the dry ingredients.
3Mix until well-blended, stir in chopped nuts, pour into a greased 8" square pan.
4Level batter smoothly.
5Bake at 325 °F for 20 minutes.
6Cut into 16 squares.
