Ingredients:

| cup | (10 oz pkg) vanilla milk | | | -flavored chips | | 2
| tbsp | Shortening (not butter | | | -margarine or oil), divided | | 1
| cup | Semi-sweet chocolate chips | | 2
| | Pts fresh | | | -strawberries, rinsed, patted | | | -dry and chilled |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cover tray with waxed paper. | | 2 | In medium micro-wave safe bowl, place vanilla milk chips and 1 tbsp shortening. | | 3 | Microwave at high (100%) 1 minute; stir vigorously until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. | | 4 | If necessary, microwave at high and additional 30 seconds at a time, just until smooth when stirred. | | 5 | holding by top, dip lower two-thirds of each strawberry into vanilla mixture; shake gently to remove excess. | | 6 | Place on prepared tray; refrigerate until coating is firm, at least 30 minutes. | | 7 | In clean, microwave safe bowl, repeat microwave process with chocolate chips; dip loew third of each berry. | | 8 | Refrigerate until firm. | | 9 | Cover and refrigerate leftovers. | | 10 | Makes about 2 to 3 dozen berries. | | 11 | taken from best recipes magazine, may/june 1992 |
