Easy potato-leek soup

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsLeeks, cleaned and sliced
-thin, including 1" of green 3 ?lb Baking potatoes, peeled and
-top
2 medOnions, peeled and quartered
9 cupChicken broth or stock
-cubed
1/2 tbspBlack pepper
Procedures:
1Put the leeks, onions and broth in a pot.
2Bring to a boil.
3Reduce the heat; cover.
4Simmer for 25 minutes.
5Add the potatoes; return to a boil.
6Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
7Process in a blender until smooth.
8Stir in the pepper.
9to serve after freezing: thaw as recommended.
10Reheat slowly, covered.
11Serves 12-14.
