Ingredients:
1 cupButter or margarine
1/2 cupAll-purpose flour
1 1/2 quartChicken broth
12 ozDill pickles, shredded or

1 cupWhite wine or additional
-chicken broth
1/2 eachMedium onion, finely chopped
3 tbspSugar
2 tbspVinegar
1 tbspWorchestershire sauce
4 eachGarlic cloves, minced
2 tspSalt
1 tspDill weed
1 tspCurry powder
1/2 tspWhite pepper
2 eachBay leaves
2 cupWarm milk
OPTIONAL:
Dash green food coloring
Croutons
Procedures:
1In a large kettle, melt butter.
2Add flour; cook and stir until bubbly.
3Gradually add broth.
4Add the next 12 ingredients; bring to a boil over medium heat.
5Reduce the heat; add milk.
6Remove bay leaves.
7Add food coloring and garnish if desired
