Ingredients:

| pack | Rice | | 2
| cup | Water | | 1
| pack | Lentils | | 3
| cup | Water or broth | | 1
| tsp | Butter | | 1
| small | Onion diced | | 1
| med | Tomato diced | | | Seasoning packet | | 1
| cl | Garlic, crushed | | | Salt and pepper to taste |

Procedures:
| 1 | Rinse the rice. | | 2 | In a medium pot, bring 2 cups of wawter to a boil, then add rice. | | 3 | Return to a boil, stirring once, then reduce heat and simmer about 20 - 30 minutes, until water is absorbed. | | 4 | Rince the lentils. | | 5 | Place them in a soup pot and cover with 2-3 cups of water or broth. | | 6 | Bring liquid to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes or until lentils are soft. | | 7 | in a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add onion and tomato. | | 8 | When onion is transparent, add seasoning paket and garlic. | | 9 | (to prevent sticking, you may need to add water, a tablespoon at a time). | | 10 | Cook 1-3 minutes, until vegetables are coated and mixture is a paste. | | 11 | Add paste to lentils and stir. | | 12 | Add salt and pepper to taste. | | 13 | Serve over rice. |
