Ingredients:

| lbs | Boneless top sirloin steak | | | - ?inch thick | | 1
| tbsp | Vegetable oil | | 8
| oz | Small mushrooms, quartered | | 1
| med | Onion, sliced | | 1
| | Clove garlic, crushed | | 1/4
| cup | Water | | 12
| oz | Jar beef gravy | | 10
| oz | Pkg frozen peas & carrots | | 1/4
| tsp | Dried thyme leaves | | 4 1/2
| oz | Can refrigerated buttermilk | | | - flavored biscuits |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat oven to 400 degrees. | | 2 | Trim fat from steak. | | 3 | Cut steak lengthwise in half and then crosswise into ?inch-thick strips. | | 4 | In large ovenproof skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot. | | 5 | Add beef (half at a time) and stir-fry 1 to 2 minutes or until outside surface is no longer pink. | | 6 | (do not overcook). | | 7 | Remove from skillet with slotted spoon. | | 8 | In same skillet, place mushrooms, onion, garlic and water. | | 9 | Cook and stir 3 minutes or until onion is tender. | | 10 | Stir in gravy, vegetables and thyme. | | 11 | Bring to a boil; remove from heat. | | 12 | Return beef to skillet. | | 13 | Cut biscuits in half; arrange in a ring on top of beef mixture. | | 14 | Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until biscuit topping is golden-brown. | | 15 | Note: if skillet is not ovenproof, transfer beef mixture to 9-inch-square baking pan. | | 16 | Top with biscuits and bake as recipe directs |
