Ingredients:
1 tbspMargarine or butter
1 tbspAll-purpose flour
1/4 tspSalt
1 cupChicken broth
2 cupCut-up cooked chicken
Or turkey
1/2 cupSliced almonds, toasted
2 cupHalf-and-half
1 tbspChopped fresh cilantro
Procedures:
1Recipe by: betty crocker"s microwave Place margarine in 2-quart casserole.
2Microwave uncovered on high 20 to 30 seconds or until melted.
3Stir in flour and salt.
4Gradually stir in broth.
5Cover tightly and microwave 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture thickens and boils.
6Stir remaining ingredients.
7Cover tightly and microwave on medium-high (70%) 10 to 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes, until hot.
8Garnish with additional cilantro if desired.
