Ingredients:
| | Uncooked giblets, of 1 or 2 | | | -chickens | | 6 3/4
| cup | Cold water | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Salt or to taste | | 1/2
| tsp | Fresh ground pepper | | 3/4
| cup | Carrot, finely diced | | 3/4
| cup | Onion, chopped | | 3/4
| cup | Celery, finely chopped even | | | -the leaves. | | 9
| oz | (1 cn) tomato juice | | 1 1/2
| tbsp | Parsley flakes, OR | | 3
| tbsp | Fresh parsley, minced | | 2/5
| tsp | Paprika | | 3
| tbsp | Quick-cooking oatmeal |

Procedures:
