Cabbage orzo and sausage soup

Ingredients:
1/2 lbsTurkey sausage
1 tbspOlive oil
1 Onion, medium-size, chopped
1 Carrot, lg, ? thick slices
1 Garlic clove, finely chopped
2 cupWater
14 1/2 ozChicken broth, reduced-sodium
15 ozPlum tomatoes, in juice
2 cupShredded cabbage
2 tspDried leaf basil, crumbled
1 tspDried leaf thyme, crumbled
1/2 cupOrzo
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Procedures:
1Brown sausage in oil in large nonstick saucepan over medium-high heat until browned but not cooked through.
2Remove sausage; cut into 16 pieces.?Reduce heat to medium.
3Add onion, carrot and garlic to saucepan; saute 3 minutes to soften.
4Gradually add water, broth, tomatoes, cabbage, basil and thyme, breaking up tomatoes.
5Simmer, covered, 15 minutes.
6Add orzo and sausage; simmer, covered, 10 minutes until sausage is cooked and orzo is tender.
7Season with salt and pepper.
