Buttermilk

Soda
Grated rind of two oranges

Finely chopped raisins
1/2

Finely chopped nuts

Flour
Glaze:

Brown sugar
Procedures:

Juice of two oranges cream shortening, add sugar.

Cream well.

Add eggs.

Sift soda with flour and add flour and milk alternately to creamed mixture.

Add nuts and raisins and orange rind.

Bake in tiny muffin tins at 325 °F for 20 minutes or until brown.

Dip in the following glaze: cook until it makes a syrup.
