Ingredients:
| 1/4
| cup | Poppy seeds | | 2/3
| cup | Milk | | 2
| cup | Flour | | 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| tbsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| | Egg, beaten | | 1/3
| cup | Oil, vegetable | | 1
| | Juice of ?a lemon |

Procedures:
| 1 | Combine seeds and milk and set aside in saucepan; heat to boiling, remove from heat and let stand 20 mins. | | 2 | Combine dry ingredients, make a well in center. | | 3 | Combine milk mixture, egg and oil. | | 4 | Add all at once to well in dry ingredients. | | 5 | Mix only until dry ingredients are moistened. | | 6 | Fill greased or paper-lined muffin tins 2/3 full. | | 7 | Bake in preheated 450" oven 20-25 mins. | | 8 | Makes 1 dozen. | | 9 | For mini- muffins tins, fill ?full and bake 12-15 mins. | | 10 | Makes 2-3 dozen "mini-muffins." |
