| 1 | Preheat the oven to 425°F. |
| 2 | Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. |
| 3 | Mix well. |
| 4 | Cut the butter into the flour mixture with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. |
| 5 | Add the eggs, milk and raisings. |
| 6 | Stir quickly with a fork until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl and forms a ball. |
| 7 | Spoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet to form the desired number of scones. |
| 8 | Leave at least 1" between the scones. |
| 9 | Bake until golden (about 12-15 minutes). |
| 10 | Remove to a wire rack, and brush immediately with honey. |
| 11 | Serve at once with butter, jam and whipped cream |
