Diabetic chili with beans

Ingredients:
1/2 lbsPinto beans
2 3 cloves garlic, minced
28 ozCan tomatoes, drained
1 lbsGround turkey
2 tspCayenne pepper
1 Green pepper, chopped
2 tspCumin
1 Onion, chopped
1 tbspChili powder
6 ozCan tomato sauce
Procedures:
1Add pinto beans to a 1-quart saucepan and cover them with water.
2Cook over medium heat 1 hour or until tender.
3Simmer onion and green pepper in ?cup water in a large nonstick skillet until onion is translucent.
4Add ground beef and cook over medium heat until browned.
5Drain excess fat from pan.
6Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne.
7Add drained tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beans to chili mixture.
8Stir well and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
9Cover and cook for ?hour over low heat
