| cup | Cake Mix (INDEX) | | 1 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Cocoa | | 1 1/4
| cup | Milk | | 1/3
| cup | Butter or margarine* | | 2
| | Eggs -- slightly beaten | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1 1/2
| cup | Apricot preserves | | 1
| | Chocolate Glaze (INDEX) |

Procedures:
| 1 | *softened heat oven to 350a. | | 2 | Grease and flour 2 round layer pans, 9x1 1/3 inches. | | 3 | Mix cake mix, sugar and cocoa in large mixer bowl. | | 4 | Beat in milk, butter, eggs and vanilla on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds. | | 5 | Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 4 minutes. | | 6 | Pour into pans. | | 7 | Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 24 to 30 minutes. | | 8 | Cool no longer than 10 minutes. | | 9 | Remove from pan; cool completely. | | 10 | Split to make 4 layers; fill layers with apricot preserves. | | 11 | Spread top and side with chocolate glaze. | | 12 | recipe by : |
