Ingredients:
3 cupCake Mix (INDEX)
1 1/2 cupSugar
1/2 cupCocoa
1 1/4 cupMilk
1/3 cupButter or margarine*
2 Eggs -- slightly beaten
1 tspVanilla
1 1/2 cupApricot preserves
1 Chocolate Glaze (INDEX)
Procedures:
1*softened heat oven to 350a.
2Grease and flour 2 round layer pans, 9x1 1/3 inches.
3Mix cake mix, sugar and cocoa in large mixer bowl.
4Beat in milk, butter, eggs and vanilla on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds.
5Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 4 minutes.
6Pour into pans.
7Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 24 to 30 minutes.
8Cool no longer than 10 minutes.
9Remove from pan; cool completely.
10Split to make 4 layers; fill layers with apricot preserves.
11Spread top and side with chocolate glaze.
