Mushroom bacon saute (master recipe)

Ingredients:
12 Bacon Slices -- 12 Oz
1 1/2 lbsFresh mushrooms -- sliced
About 8 cups
1 cupOnions -- chopped
1 1/2 tbspGarlic -- minced
2 tspOregano leaves -- crushed
1 tspSalt
1/2 tspGround black pepper
Procedures:
1Use this recipe to add to: salads, pasta, rice, pizza, meats, etc.
2In a large skillet over medium heat cook bacon until crisp, about 5 minutes.
3Transfer to a paper towel; crumble, set aside.
4Pour off all but 4 tablespoons bacon fat.
5Add mushrooms, onions and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid evaporates, 7 to 8 minutes.
6Stir in crumbled bacon, oregano, salt and black pepper, refrigerate or freeze in 2 portions and use in recipes.
