| 1 | Make one recipe brownies from basic cookie mix. |
| 2 | Bake for 25 minutes. |
| 3 | Remove from oven. |
| 4 | Evenly sprinkle miniature marshmallows over brownies. |
| 5 | Return to oven. |
| 6 | Bake 5 additional minutes. |
| 7 | Remove from oven; cool in pan. |
| 8 | Combine peanut butter chips and shortening in the top of a double boiler over hot, not boiling water. |
| 9 | Stir until melted. |
| 10 | Add the rice cereal; stir until thoroughly coated. |
| 11 | Spread over top of marshmallows. |
| 12 | Cool until set. |
| 13 | Cut into squares. |
