Ingredients:
6 Green tomatoes, chopped
6 Tart apples, chopped
1 cupCurrants
1 cupRaisins
3 tspGround cinnamon
1 tspGround cloves
1/2 tspAllspice
1/2 tspGround ginger
1/4 cupVinegar
1 tbspGrated orange peel
1/2 cupUnsweetened orange juice
Procedures:
1Combine all ingredients in a large, heavy pot.
2Simmer until thick.
3Makes about 3 quarts.
4Freeze mincemeat in one-cup portions.
