Ingredients:
20 California dried figs
3 cupCold water
1 tbspLight molasses
2 tspPowdered ginger
1/2 cupSugar
Procedures:
1Place figs and water in saucepan.
2Bring to hard boil, then lower heat and simmer.
3Cover figs and cook for 20 minutes.
4Add molasses, ginger and sugar.
5Stir gently in order to avoid breaking figs.
6Simmer for 15 minutes more or until figs are plumped and tender.
7Serves 5 or Wonderful with ham, pork, chicken, steak or roast beef!
