| 1 | Boil some water in a medium size pan and add 1 teaspoon soda. |

| 8 | The next day, cook 1 hour without the cover. |
| 9 | Cool and let stand overnight. |
| 10 | Third day, cook 1 hour and cool. |
| 11 | When cool, arrange the figs on a cookie sheet. |
| 12 | Let stand for 2 or 3 days, turning once or twice. |
| 13 | After they are dry, pack them between layers of waxed paper. |
| 14 | Keep refrigerated until all are eaten. |
