Ingredients:
1 lbsBeef top sirloin steak
-(boneless), 1" thick
- well-trimmed
6 Green onions
- cut into 1 ? pieces
MARINADE
1/4 cupPacked brown sugar
3 tbspDry sherry
3 tbspSoy sauce
2 tspDark seasame oil
2 Garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 tspGround ginger
Procedures:
1Cooking & preparation time: 25 min Cut steak crosswise into ? thick strips.
2Combine marinade ingredients.
3Place beef and ?of marinade in plastic bag.
4Turning to coat; close securely.
5Marinate in refrigerator 20 minutes; reserve remaining marinade.
6Meanwhile soak 16 (6") bamboo skewers in water 10 minutes; drain.
7Remove beef from marinade; discard marinade.
8Alternately thread beef (weaving back and forth) and green onion onto skewers.
9Place kabobs on rack in broiler pan so surface of kabobs is 3 to 4" from heat.
10Broil 5 to 6 minutes, turning once.
11Brush kabobs with reserved marinade during last 2 minutes.
