Deviled clams

Ingredients:
1 pintClams
1 Clove garlic, minced
2 tbspChopped onion
1/2 cupChopped celery
1/4 cupButter, melted
1 tbspFlour
3/4 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
1/4 tspThyme
3 dropTobasco sauce
1 tbspChili sauce
1 Egg, beaten
1/2 cupCracker meal
2 tbspChopped parsley
2 tbspButter, melted
1/2 cupDry bread crumbs
Procedures:
1Drain and chop clams.
2Cook garlic, onion, and celery in butter until tender.
3Blend in flour and seasonings.
4Add clams and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
5Stir a little of the hot sauce into egg, add to remaining sauce, stirring constantly.
6Add meal and parsley.
7Fill 6 well-greased individual shells or casseroles.
8Combine butter and crumbs; sprinkle over top of each shell.
9Bake in a hot oven, 400°F. for 10 min. or until brown.
10Or stuff in half clam shells.
11Can be frozen
