Ingredients:
4 cupWater
2 Regular tea bags
1 cupSugar
Pn Cinnamon and ginger
2 Strips lemon zest
3 lbsGolden delicious -OR-
- gravenstien apples
1/2 cupOrange marmalade
2 tbspTriple sec
4 Lemon slices for garnish
Procedures:
1Bring 4 cups of water to boil.
2Remove from heat add tea bags, sugar, spices and lemon zest.
3Let stand about 5 minutes.
4Peel, core, and quarter apples.
5Remove tea bags and bring liquid to boil again.
6Cook apples in liquid about 5 minutes or just til cooked through.
7Remove with slotted spoon and place in serving dish to cool.
8In small pan, combine marmalade and liqueur, bring to simmer,stirring well.
9Pour over apples, garnish with the quartered lemon slices.
