Ingredients:
1 pintBlueberries
1 pintStrawberries
1/4 cupSugar
3 tbspMinced Sweet Onion
1 tbspBlueberry Or Raspberry
-Vinegar Or Lemon Juice
1 tspFreshly Ground Black Pepper
Hot Pepper Sauce, To Taste
1/4 cupSliced Or Slivered Almonds
-Toasted
Procedures:
1Rinse the blueberries and strawberries, then dry on paper towels.
2Pick over the berries.
3Hull the strawberries and cut into quarters.
4In a bowl combine the blueberries, strawberries, sugar, onion, vinegar, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
5Mix well and refrigerate for at least one hour.
6Just before serving, stir in the almonds.
7Serve over fruit sorbet or as a condiment with poultry or pork.
