Ingredients:
1 1 lb package (3 cups) pitted
-dates
4 ozRed candied pineapple
4 ozGreen candied pineapple
4 ozRed candied cherries
4 ozGreen candied cherries
1 lbsShelled Brazil nuts (3 cups)
Or pecan halves (4 cups)

1 cupSifted enriched flour
1 cupSugar
1 tspBaking powder
1/4 tspSalt

4 Well beaten eggs
1 tspVanilla or rum extract
Procedures:
1Halve dates and cut pineapple in chunks.
2Combine with the whole cherries and nuts.
3Sift together dry ingredients, add to fruits and nuts, coating well.
4Stir in eggs and vanilla.
5Line two 8 ½x4 ½x2 ?inch loaf pans with heavy paper; then grease paper and pour in batter.
6Bake in slow oven (325? 1 hour or till done.
7Cool.
