Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupMint-chocolate chips, *
3/4 tbspBaking soda
1/2 cupButter, softened
1/4 cupSugar, granulated
1 eachEgg, large
1 1/4 cupFlour, unbleached
1/2 tbspSalt
1/2 cupBrown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tbspVanilla extract
1/2 cupNuts, chopped
Procedures:
1* use 1 10-oz bag of nestles toll house mint-chocolate chips divided in half for this recipe.
2++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++ preheat oven to 375 °F.
3Melt over hot (not boiling) water, ?cup of the mint-chocolate chips; stir until smooth.
4Remove from heat; cool to room temperature.
5In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
6In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract; beat until creamy.
7Add melted chips and egg; beat well.
8Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
9Stir in remaining ?cup of mint-chocolate chips and nuts.
10Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
11Bake at 375 °F.
12For 8 to 10 minutes.
13Allow to stand 2 to 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheets.
14Cool completely on wire racks.
