French bread

Ingredients:
1 packYEAST
1 cupTEPID WATER ( 85 DEG. F. )
2 cupFRIENDSHIP STARTER
3 tspSUGAR
1 tspSALT
6 cupFLOUR
Procedures:
1Dissolve yeast in water, then mix in starter.
2Stir in sugar and salt, then flour.
3Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
4Place on a lightly floured board and cover.
5Let rise for 90 minutes or until doubled in bulk.
6Punch down, knead a bit and cut into 2 pieces.
7Shape into loaves and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
8Sprinkle with a little water and let double in size.
9Bake in a 375 °F.
10Oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped on top.
