Ingredients:
6 Pears
-OR
1 lbsFresh cherries
1 cupFlour
1 cupSugar
1 tbspBaking powder
5 Eggs
3 tbspWater (approximately)
Pn Cinnamon
Pn Salt
1/4 lbsButter, softened
Procedures:
1Chop unpeeled pears into bite-sized chunks.
2(or pit cherries and cut in half).
3Arrange the fruit on the bottom of a greased tart pan.
4To make the pastry, mix all ingredients, except softened butter, with a beater.
5When well-blended, add butter.
6Pour batter over the fruit.
7Bake in a 300°F.
8Oven for 30 minutes.
