Ingredients:
12 smallArtichokes
1 medLemon
2 medOnions, quartered
1 eachGarlic, clove
1 tspMarjoram, dried
1/4 cupOil, olive
1 cupBroth, chicken
Salt
Pepper
Procedures:
1Remove the outer leaves of the artichokes, cut off the tops, and let the artichokes stand in cold water with juice of the lemon for 10 minutes.
2Arrange the artichokes around the sides of a heavy casserole.
3Put the quartered onions in the middle.
4Sprinkle with garlic, marjoram, broth, salt and pepper.
5Cover and bring to boil over high heat.
6Simmer gently over low heat, still covered, for 20 minutes.
7Serve.
