Ingredients:

| cup | Water | | 1
| cup | Pitted prunes | | 1
| cup | Dried appricots | | 2
| med | Red pears, cored and sliced | | 1/4
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| cup | Amaretto | | 1
| tsp | Shredded lemon peel |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a medium saucepan combine water, prunes, and apricots. | | 2 | Bring to a boil. | | 3 | Remove from heat and let stand for 15 min. drain, reserving ?cup liquid. | | 4 | Leave prunes and apricots on the side. | | 5 | In the ?cup liquid, combine pears, amaretto, sugar and lemon peel. | | 6 | Cover and simmer 10 minutes until the pears are crisp-tender. | | 7 | Stir in prunes and apricots and heat through. | | 8 | Serve warm over vanilla ice-cream or frozen yogurt. | | 9 | Also makes a wonderful topping for pound cake. |
