German style barbecued spareribs

Ingredients:
2 tbspButter
1/4 cupFinely chopped onion
2 tbspDark brown sugar
1/8 tbspPepper
1/2 tbspSalt
2 tbspPrepared mustard
1/2 cupCatsup
3 cupSauerkraut, drained
1 largeApple, pared, cored & choppd
2 tbspCarraway seeds
3 lbsSpareribs, cut into ribs
Procedures:
1In a medium-sized, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl, heat butter in microwave oven 30 seconds.
2Add onion, brown sugar, pepper, salt, mustard, and catsup.
3Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 3 minutes.
4In a 3-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole, place sauerkraut, apple and carraway seeds.
5Stir to combine thoroughly.
6Dip each sparerib into sauce and place on top of sauerkraut.
7Pour remaining barbecue sauce over the top.
8Heat, covered in microwave oven 15 to 18 minutes.
9Pork should always be cooked to well-done
