Fresh asparagus with sesame dip

Ingredients:
2 lbsAsparagus, fresh
3/4 cupOil
2 tbspSesame seed
1 Egg yolk
2 tbspWhite wine vinegar
1 tspHoney
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 tbspSoy sauce
Salt to taste
Procedures:
1Cook asparagus to just barely done and refrigerate.
2To prepare dip, heat ?cup oil in saucepan over medium low heat and stir in sesame seeds.
3Cook until seeds are golden, about three to five minutes.
4Add remaining oil and remove from heat.
5Allow to cool.
6Whisk together egg, vinegar and honey.
7Slowly blend in a thin stream of the oil mixture.
8Blend in soy sauce and garlic.
9Add salt.
10Refrigerate, allowing flavors to blend.
11Notes : this recipe doubles easily and can also be served as a "salad" simply by using the sesame dip as a dressing for the chilled asparagus
