Ingredients:
1/2 cupSourdough starter
2 cupFlour
2 cupLukewarm water
2 tbspSugar
1 tspSalt
3 tbspOil
2 Eggs
1 tspBaking soda
1 tbspWater
Procedures:
1To starter add flour and lukewarm water.
2Beat until smooth and let stand in warm place overnight.
3Next morning, add sugar, salt and oil.
4Beat in eggs.
5Dissolve soda in water and fold in gently.
6Do not stir after soda has been added.
7Grease griddle and bake.
8Sylvia"s comments: the batter was too thin -- i think i should have added less water than flour.
9Also, i couldn"t get all the oil to beat into the mixture.
10However, the pancakes came out thin but quite acceptable after the first couple, so maybe the proportions were right after all.
11My count came from two-scoop pancakes, where one-scoop would have made silver dollar sized ones.
12As usual, the pancakes were tougher than regular pancakes, and definitely had a strong sour tang
