Ingredients:
| 1/2
| cup | Sourdough starter | | 2
| cup | Flour | | 2
| cup | Lukewarm water | | 2
| tbsp | Sugar | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 3
| tbsp | Oil | | 2
| | Eggs | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1
| tbsp | Water |
|
Procedures:
| 1 | To starter add flour and lukewarm water. | | 2 | Beat until smooth and let stand in warm place overnight. | | 3 | Next morning, add sugar, salt and oil. | | 4 | Beat in eggs. | | 5 | Dissolve soda in water and fold in gently. | | 6 | Do not stir after soda has been added. | | 7 | Grease griddle and bake. | | 8 | Sylvia"s comments: the batter was too thin -- i think i should have added less water than flour. | | 9 | Also, i couldn"t get all the oil to beat into the mixture. | | 10 | However, the pancakes came out thin but quite acceptable after the first couple, so maybe the proportions were right after all. | | 11 | My count came from two-scoop pancakes, where one-scoop would have made silver dollar sized ones. | | 12 | As usual, the pancakes were tougher than regular pancakes, and definitely had a strong sour tang |
