Easy pumpkin loaves

Ingredients:
1/2 cupGranulated sugar
2 cupBiscuit mix
1 tspGround cinnamon
1/4 tspGround allspice
1/4 tspGround cloves
1 Egg
1/2 cupSourdough starter
1/2 cupCanned pumpkin
1/2 cupRaisins
3/4 cupMilk
2 tbspVegetable oil
1 cupChopped walnuts, if desired
GOLDEN GLAZE
2 cupPowdered sugar
2 tbspHalf and half
3 Drops yellow food coloring
Procedures:
1Grease one 9x5" loaf pan, two 7 ½x4" loaf pans or three 5 ½x3" loaf pans; set aside.
2Preheat oven to 350°F.
3In a large bowl, combine sugar, biscuit mix, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves; set aside.
4In a medium bowl, beat egg.
5Stir in sourdough starter, pumpkin, raisins, milk, oil and nuts, if desired.
6Stir into spice mixture until dry ingredients are just moistened.
7Turn into prepared pan or pans.
8Bake in preheated oven 35 to 40 minutes for small loaves or 50 to 55 minutes for other loaves.
9Bread is done when a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
10Turn out of pan or pans.
11Cool top side up on a rack.
12Prepare golden glaze.
13Spread on cooled pumpkin loaf or loaves.
14Makes 1 large, 2 medium, or 3 small loaves.
15Golden glaze: combine powdered sugar, half and half and food coloring.
16Only half of recipe is needed to glaze 1 large loaf.
