Procedures:

Saute onions in butter til soft and golden.

Add onions to beef stock and simmer 1 hour.

Season with white wine and salt and pepper to taste.

bake cheese-topped slices of french bread in a 350°F degree oven til browned.

Place a slice in each soup bowl, add hot soup, and enjoy.
