Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsBeef stew meat
2 tbspCooking oil
2 cupPotatoes, cubed
1 cupCarrots, in 1" pieces
1 medOnion, cut into thin wedges
1/2 cupCelery, sliced
1 packGreen beans, frozen (9oz)
3 tbspTapioca, quick-cooking
1 tbspBeef bouillon granules
2 tspWorcestershire sauce
3/4 tspThyme, dry & crushed
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
16 ozTomatoes, canned, cut up
1 1/2 cupWater
Procedures:
1Cut meat into ? cubes.
2In a large skillet brown meat, half at a time, in hot oil.
3Drain well.
4in crockpot, combine potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery.
5Add frozen beans, tapioca, bouillon, worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
6Stir in browned meat, undrained tomatoes, and water.
7cover; cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or on high-heat setting for 5-6 hours.
