Ogwissimanabo (yellow squash soup)

Ingredients:
1 medYellow squash, diced
4 eachShallots, with tops, chopped
1 quartWater
2 tbspMaple syrup
5 sliceCucumber (? thick)
1 tbspSalt
1/4 tspBlack pepper
Procedures:
1Place the squash, shallots, water & syrup into a large soup pot & simmer for 40 minutes, until the squash is tender.
2Add the cucumbers.
3Pit everything into a large bowl & mash until it forms a thick, creamy paste (or use a blender).
4Put the mixture back into the soup pot & season with salt & pepper.
5Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
