Oatmeal leek soup

Ingredients:
1 smallLeek
3 1/2 cupWhole (or skim) milk
1/4 tspFreshly ground black pepper
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupQuick-cooking oats
Procedures:
1Trim the leek, wash it well and mince, to make about 1 cup.
2in a saucepan, bring the leeks, milk, pepper, and salt to a boil.
3Simmer for 2 minutes and then stir in the oats.
4cook for about 2 minutes.
5serve immediately, or keep warm in a double boiler over warm water.
6If the soup thickens too much, thin with milk or water.
