Ingredients:

| lbs | Chicken, cut into serving | | | -pieces | | 5
| cup | - 6 cups water | | 1
| med | Onion, sliced | | | 2 ea Sweet corn on the cob | | | -quartered | | 2
| med | Potato, peeled and quartered | | 1/4
| tsp | Black peppercorns | | 1
| tbsp | Fish sauce (patis) | | 4
| cup | Bok choy, cut into 2-inch | | | -pieces | | | Salt to taste |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a covered deep pot over medium heat, bring the water, chicken pieces, onion, peppercorns and salt to a boil. | | 2 | Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is almost tender. | | 3 | Add potatoes, corn and fish sauce and cook for 10-12 minutes. | | 4 | Add bok choy and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender. | | 5 | Correct seasonings to taste. | | 6 | Remove fat that may accumulate on top of the soup. | | 7 | Serves immediately with steamed rice. | | 8 | Serves 6 to Nalagang manok (chicken soup) |
