Mushroom-barley soup w/ short ribs

Ingredients:
2 lbsBeef short ribs
1 medOnion, diced
2 tbspMinced garlic
6 Celery ribs, finely sliced
6 cupWater or chicken stock
2/3 cupPearl barley
1 tbspDried dill weed
Salt and pepper to taste
2 lbsMushrooms
Procedures:
1Place ribs, onion, garlic and celery in a soup pot.
2Add the liquid, cover, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
3Add the barley, dill, salt and pepper and cook another 50 minutes.
4Add the mushrooms and cook another 10 minutes.
5Serve piping hot.
