Ingredients:

| cup | Red lentils | | 4 3/4
| cup | Water | | 1
| pack | Knorr Minestrone soupmix | | 1
| | Garlic clove, minced | | 2
| tsp | Cumin, ground | | 1
| can | Chickpeas, drained (19 oz) | | 1/4
| cup | Cilantro or parsley, chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | Rinse lentils, drain. | | 2 | In a large saucepan combine lentils, water, soupmix, garlic and cumin. | | 3 | Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. | | 4 | Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. | | 5 | Add chickpeas; simmer 5 - 10 minutes or until lentils are tender. | | 6 | Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley. |
