Maine corn chowder

Ingredients:
5 sliceBacon, chopped
2 medOnions, sliced
3 cupPotatoes, diced
2 cupWater
1 tspSalt
1/8 tspPepper
1 canCorn, creamed
1 cupMilk
Procedures:
1In a large pot......cook bacon until crisp.
2Remove, drain on paper towels and set aside.
3Saute onion in bacon drippings until soft.
4Add potatoes water salt and pepper.
5Bring to a boil.
6Reduce heat, cover and simmer 12-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
7Add corn and milk; heat throughly.
8Garnish with bacon.
9About 9 cups.
10Note; you can use chicken broth instead of milk if you prefer.
