Ingredients:
| 1/2
| cup | Chopped salt pork with lean | | 1
| med | Onion, chopped | | 2
| cup | Diced potato | | 2
| cup | Water | | 1
| med | Green pepper, diced | | 1/2
| cup | Chopped celery | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| | Bay leaf | | 2
| cup | Milk, divided | | 1/4
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 2
| cup | Fresh corn | | 1/2
| cup | Half and half |

Procedures:
| 1 | Saute pork in a large dutch oven until crisp; add onion and saute until tender; add diced potato, water, green pepper, celery, salt and bay leaf; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender; combine ?cup milk and flour, stirring well; add to potato mixture; stir in remaining milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened; add corn and half and half; cook, stirring constantly, until thoroughly heated through; remove and discard bay leaf. | | 2 | Makes 8 |
