Polynesian sweet and sour chicken

Ingredients:
CHICKEN
4 tbspVegetable oil
3 Chicken bouillon cubes
1/8 tspYellow food colouring
2 cup-water
1/4 tspWhite pepper
1/4 tspGarlic powder
Salt to taste
1 1/2 lbsBoneless chicken, 1-inch
-dice
SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE
1 1/4 cupOnions, sliced
1 cupGreen peppers, sliced
1/2 cupCider vinegar
1/2 cupSugar
1 cup-water
1 cupPineapple chunks (8oz)
4 tspCornstarch
4 tsp-water
Red food colouring (opt)
Procedures:
1There are two parts to this recipe.
2First cook the chicken, and while it is cooking, prepare the sweet and sour sauce.
3Chicken: combine all ingredients and cook, covered, over low heat 25-30 minutes until chicken is tender.
4Drain liquid and serve covered with sweet and sour sauce sweet and sour sauce: combine onions, grren peppers, vinegar, sugar, and water in a saucepan.
5Simmer 20 minutes.
6Add pineapple chnks and juice and return to boil.
7Stir in cornstarch which has been dissolved in water, cook and stir until thickened and clear.
8If desired, add red food colouring.
9Makes 2 ?cups
