| | Carrot, finely chopped | | 1/2

| tsp | Margarine, not butter | | 2
| tbsp | Flour, unbleached | | 2
| cup | Water | | 1
| | Chicken bouillon cube | | 1
| cup | Evaporated skim milk not | | | -cream | | 2
| tbsp | Butter buds=ae | | 1/4
| tsp | Kosher salt | | 1/2
| tsp | Freshly ground black pepper |
