Ingredients:
Vegetable cooking spray
1/3 cupOnion, chopped
1/3 cupGreen bell pepper, chopped
3 clGarlic, minced
1 tbspChili powder
2 tbspFresh lime juice
1/2 tspDried oregano
1/2 tspGround cumin
1/4 tspGround red pepper
1/4 tspHot sauce
1/8 tspSalt
1/8 tspBlack pepper
1 canChicken broth
1 canPinto beans
Procedures:
1Recipe by: cooking light march 1996 coat a medium saucepan with cooking spray and place over medium-high heat until hot.
2Add onion, bell pepper and garlic; saute for 3 minutes.
3Add chili powder and nex 8 ingredients(chili powder through broth); bring to a boil.
4Stir in half of the beans; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
5Place soup into blender and process until smooth.
6Return to pan and add remaining beans.
7Cook until thoroughly heated.
