Savory artichoke chicken

Ingredients:
9 ozDrained Artichoke Hearts
1/2 tspSalt
4 Chicken Breasts *
Fresh Ground Pepper
8 Slices Lean Bacon
4 tbspSweet Vermouth
1 cupItalian Plum Tomatoes, Chop
1 cupGrated Cheddar Cheese
Procedures:
1* chicken breasts should be skinned and boned.
2~--------------------------------------------------------------------- ~-- preheat oven to 350°F.
3Arrange the artichoke hearts on the bottom of a baking dish and sprinkle with salt.
4Place the chicken breasts on top of the artichoke hearts.
5Season lightly with pepper.
6Lay bacon slices close together over the chicken and spoon vermouth over all.
7Bake for 45 minutes, draining excess fat.
8Combine the tomatoes with the cheese and spoon over the chicken.
9Cook for 15 minutes more.
10Add more vermouth if desired.
11For golden brown color, broil for 1 minute.
12Serve with cooked rice
