Ingredients:
1 lbsGround beef, lean
1/2 cupYogurt, plain, low-fat
1/3 cupCucumber, chopped
2 tspPepper Herb Mix, divided
1/4 tspSalt
2 Pita pocket breads, halved

1 medTomato, cut in 8 thin slices
PEPPER-HERB MIX
2 tbspBasil, dried
1 tbspLemon pepper
1 tbspOnion powder
1 1/2 tspSage, dried, rubbed
Procedures:
1Preparation time for recipe (time for herb mix not included) 18 minutes prepare the pepper-herb mix: combine all ingredients.
2Store covered in airtight container.
3Shake before using to blend.
4Yield, about 1/3 cup.
5Prepare the pita burgers: combine yogurt, cucumber, ?teaspoon herb mix and salt in a small bowl; reserve.
6Shape ground beef into four ? thick patties.
7Sprinkle remaining 1 ?teaspoons herb mix over both sides of patties.
8Meanwhile heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat 5 minutes.
9Place patties in skillet and cook 6 to 8 minutes, turning once.
10Season with salt, if desired.
11To serve, place a butger in each pita half; add 2 tomato slices and yogurt sauce as desired.
