| tsp | Garlic powder | | 1/4

| lbs | Skinless boneless chicken | | | Breast halves | | 2
| | To 3 cups | | 6
| slice | Bacon | | 2
| | To 3 cups | | | - | | | - | | | Pieces | | 1
| large | Tomato, seeded -- coarsely | | | Chopped | | | Pasta twists (rotini) | | | Boston, Romain, iceberg | | | Lettuce, torn -- in | | | Bite-size |

Procedures:
| 1 | Mix salad dressing with water, barbecue sauce, vinegar, chives, garlic powder and pepper in a large salad bowl until blended. | | 2 | Put chicken breast halves in 6 quart pot. | | 3 | Add just enough water to cover. | | 4 | Bring to a boil. | | 5 | Reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes. | | 6 | Until chicken is no longer pin in center. | | 7 | Remove with tongs or a slotted spoon to cutting board to cool . | | 8 | Add enough water to poaching liquid in pot to cook pasta, total 4 quarts. | | 9 | Bring to a boil and add pasta. | | 10 | Cook for 9 minutes or until crisp. | | 11 | Drain on paper towel. | | 12 | Cut in small pieces. | | 13 | Add hot pasta to dressing in salad bowl. | | 14 | Toss to coat. | | 15 | Cut chicken into bite-size pieces. | | 16 | Add to salad bowl along with bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. | | 17 | Toss gently to mix. | | 18 | Serve at room teperature or chill |
