Mediterranean chicken a la audrey

Ingredients:
1 Oil, Olive
1 medOnion
6 cupGarlic
Salt
Pepper
Cumin
Allspice
Garlic Powder
Onion, minced
1 packChicken Parts
Water
Rice, uncooked
1 Lemon
Almonds, slivered
Raisins
Procedures:
1This goes really well with a salad on the side, particularly an israeli or middle eastern-type salad.
2Cover bottom of dutch oven with olive oil.
3Dice onion and garlic.
4Saute on medium till onions are transparent.
5Mix a little salt, some pepper, ?bottle cumin, some allspice, a little garlic powder, and minced onion.
6Distribute over chicken.
7Move onions to side of pot.
8Brown chicken.
9(if it doesn"t all fit, do it a little at a time).
10Replace all chicken in pot.
11Pour in two times water for rice (should almost cover chicken.
12Boil about 15 minutes.
13Throw in uncooked rice (not minute rice), moving chicken to make sure rice goes under it, but don"t stir.
14Cut 1 lemon in half, talke out seeds, squeeze juice into pot, then add lemon halves.
15Cover and simmer.
16Check after about ?hour.
17When rice is cooked it"s done.
18In a small frying pan, heat a little olive oil.
19Add almonds and raisins.
20Keep cooking and stirring till almonds get brown and raisins lighten and puff up.
21Serve over chicken mixture.
