Chicken fricassee for the crockpot

Ingredients:
4 To 5 lb stewing chicken
Cut into serving pieces
2 tbspSalt
1 tbspPaprika
2 medOnions, sliced
3 Stalks celery, sliced
2 Carrots, pared and sliced
1 Bay leaf
1 cupChicken broth
1/2 cupFlour
1/2 cupWater
1 pack(10 oz.) noodles, cooked
And drained
Chopped parsley
Procedures:
1Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry.
2Season with salt and paprika.
3Place sliced vegetables and bay leaf in crock pot.
4Place chicken on top of vegetables.
5Pour in chicken broth.
6Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 12 hours.
7One hour before serving; turn to high setting.
8Remove chicken pieces; bone and return meat to the crock pot.
9Make a smooth paste of flour and water and stir into liquid in crock pot.
10Cover and cook until thickened.
11Serve over hot noodles; sprinkle with chopped parsley.
